Yes, you read that correctly.As has been well documented, many of the senior players at the club appear to have very short memories indeed and quickly turned on the former manager when things weren’t going so well.The players weren’t happyCharacteristically, he began to ‘tinker’, and some of his squad weren’t happy with his new tactics and team selections.Not content to leave his interfering on the pitch, however, Ranieri reportedly became obsessive over the players’ diets – hence the butter throwing.
Snacks had been left out for them to enjoy after a rare win, but it seems Jamie Vardy and co didn’t quite get to that luxury in time.Troubled times at LeicesterMaybe it wasn’t the best idea to be found reacting like that straight after a win. Leicester have walked away with the three points on just seven occasions this season, so they could have done with a bit of encouragement.It says a lot about the sad state of affairs in the dressing room that Ranieri still felt he couldn’t relax despite the win.
Under Shakespeare, the mood at the club has been a little more relaxed.
